Specialist in Teen Counseling

It is tough being a teenager at times. Social pressure, bullying, social media and negative peer influences are all factors they must deal with.

Teens that need help may display signs of anger, depression or withdraw from friends and family, especially during a rough time. They may also stop communicating and shut down when asked what is bothering them. Habits may change, such as sleeping or eating patterns. These are all scary for parents and it is at this time when added support and help is needed.  I have extensive experience working with teens who are struggling with a variety of emotional issues and behaviors. I am able to give them a safe space to explore what they are feeling and together work to discover positive coping strategies and reduce anxiety, which help them make sense out of a very confusing and emotional time. The work is collaborative and the family is almost always involved.
